My first post.

This title is pretty weird, right? It derives from a company to which I'm applying, Sightlines LLC. It will be useful if I get the job (fingers crossed), and if I don't (cough cough *google* cough) the title sounds cool anyway.

So the inspiration for getting this blog came as a necessity. Jobs I'm applying for all seem to require blogs--check out this craigslist job ad. So Blogs have gone beyond buzz and having an online repository for your thoughts? I mean, this is along the lines of that inspirational Web2.0 video going around (I can't get the video to embed right now), saying that things like xml and blogs are changing the structure of love and family. If having one is a pre-req for a random, moderately-tech job, then yes, it seems like it's beginning to change things.
